Cold Room Site Surveys in Tanzania

A site survey checks that your cold room will actually fit, work and be supplied with power before you commit to equipment. Coldroom Africa carries out site assessments for new cold room projects.

What a site survey reviews

  • Space: the available footprint and ceiling height
  • Access: whether panels and equipment can be delivered and moved into position
  • Equipment positioning: where the condensing unit and evaporator should go, with room for airflow and servicing
  • Insulation requirements: the thickness and layout suited to your storage temperature
  • Electrical supply: the power available and what the equipment will need
  • Floor and drainage: condition of the floor and where condensate can drain

Why do it first

Problems found after installation are expensive to fix. A survey helps avoid undersized rooms, poor airflow, overloaded electrical supply and awkward door positions, and it gives a firm basis for a proposal. Read what else affects the price in cold room cost factors.

What happens next

After the survey we can prepare a proposal for your cold room, or advise on whether an existing space can be adapted. For early-stage planning, see our cold storage consultation.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you provide site assessments?+

Yes. Site surveys review installation space, access, equipment positioning, insulation requirements and electrical supply.

What should I prepare before a survey?+

Know what you plan to store, roughly how much, and have access to the proposed space. Photos and approximate measurements help in the first discussion.
